When we have anything extra whether it's hygiene items, clothes, toys, or food, we take it to the clinic to distribute to the kids. There's nothing better than a smile on children's innocent faces when they enjoy the taste of an American candy.
We always look forward to the day when we get mail. It's such a morale booster. It's a great feeling to receive letters, greeting cards, and care packages. In an instant, life feels wonderful...

We really really really need:
Motorola TalkAbout Radios Model # T5512/inexpensive Head Lamps/
Brown Half-sleeve loose-fit Under Armor shirts (M/L/XL)/5.11 socks/weigh scale

If that's not possible, we would love to have:
NutriGrain and granola and breakfast cereal bars / flavored oat meal zeebra cakes / little debbie cakes / hostess cakes / chocolate-flavor snack pack pudding / baby wipes / Mach 3 Power razors / new DVD releases / pepperidge farm distinctive cookies / oreos / chips ahoy / fruit twistables / cheez-its
beef jerky nuggets / doritoes / cheetos / pringles / funions / flavour-ice freeze pops / bottled mountain dew / easy cheese / chicken biscuits crackers / spaghetti-o’s / gatorade / powerade / pre-mixed kool-aid / tang powder drinks / air freshener / scented candles / dust remover spray / sports and car magazines / tuna meals / tons of ramen and cup noodles / Kraft meals / Easy Mac / microwaveable meals

Since we have no access to PX, mail from AnySoldier is the only way we can request our needs and wants. The occasional rain somewhat helps to offset the scorching sun. Flies are everywhere. Malaria and water-borne illnesses are quite prevalent. Locals come from very far places to receive medical and dental treatment at our clinic. It would be great to have...

Small 110v heaters for upcoming winter
Lots of baby wipes and hand-sanitizer
Plastic reusable earplugs (connected with a cord)
Fly traps & fly catchers
Mach 3 turbo razors & Electric razors
Air freshener & Scented candles
Air duster spray
Protein powder
Mountain Dew bottles
Microwaveable bowls
Kraft dinners & Easy Mac & Microwaveable meals
Oreos & chips ahoy cookies & debbie snacks
Ramen & cup noodles
Gatorade & Powerade & Tang & already mixed Kool-aid & Gookinaid powder drinks
Gummy fruit snacks & gummy lifesavers
Easy Cheese & Crackers & Chicken Biscuits...hmm...sooo yummy......

We are so grateful to the great Americans who support their soldiers. Thanks Anysoldier. It feels like Christmas in Afghanistan whenever we receive care packages and get the taste of home. The morale boost from mail helps in immense proportions to strengthen our resolve. Please don't forget to include email address or to check email whenever we respond to EVERYONE'S letters and care packages and email everyone our camp's monthly newsletter with pictures. Thanks for keeping us in your hearts and minds. Thanks again. Our lifestyle will be more like home if we have...

I have received many care packages and letters of support so far. I email and/or write to every individual. Thanks to Anysoldier, the moral of our guys remain high even though things can get crazy anytime. Weather changes everyday. Sometimes duststorm, sometimes rain, and sometimes unbearable heat in the day, and chilly at night. We just started to receive fresh fruit for the first time. PX was supposed to come, but never did. We would love to have:

110v fans (it's very hot in the afternoon)
cookies (especially girl's scout...they are soooooooooooooooooooo yummy)
old/new cds/vcds/dvds
nail clippers
baby wipes & hand sanitizer (we can never have enough of these)
AA batteries (we can never have enough of these either)
beef jerkey/chips (like doritoes and pringles)
sunblock/sunscreen lotion
extensive care lotion for very dry skin
tooth brush/toothpaste/chapsticks/antibacterial soap/foot and baby powder
dry fruit/snacks/chocolate/candies/chewing gum/raisins
hangers/air freshner
sunflower seeds (helps to stay awake at guard during chilly nights)
tuna cans/packets/cup of noodles/microwaveable meals (we eat the same food day and night)

Thanks,

MOHAMMAD S. AHMED

We now have approximately xxxx soldiers in our section. The PX does not come anymore to our small, isolated base. Everyday, weather changes drastically. We can't even buy food and other things from the locals because we have very little cash on us, and we don't know when the finance will come and give us money. The field sanitation condition is very poor. Mail gets here like once a month. Receiving supplies are a big issue. The other day we even ran out of water. The locals are quite friendly. So far, I have received 4 care packages and many letters. I emailed and wrote thank you letters to most of the people. I don't know when and if they'll receive those letters. I hope everyone includes an email address when they send a letter or a care package, this way I can quickly respond to them. If possible, we would love to have:

insect repellent lotion and spray (there are a lot malaria mosquitoes)
extensive care lotion for very dry skin
chapsticks
foot and baby powder
dry fruit/snacks/chocolate/candies/chewing gum/raisins
chips (like doritoes and pringles)
cookies (especially girl's scout...they are so yummy)
baby wipes (we can never have enough of these)
rubbing isopropyl/ethyl alcohol
hand sanitizer (we can never have enough of these either)
antibacterial soap
hangers
pencils and pens
trash bags
air freshner
old/new cds/vcds/dvds
sunflower seeds (helps to stay awake at guard during chilly nights)
beef jerkey
gatorade/powerade powder
tuna cans/packets
cup of noodles/microwaveable meals (we eat the same food day and night)
AA batteries
small 110v heaters (it's very cold at night)

Thanks,
MOHAMMAD S. AHMED

I have been in Afghanistan for few months. My base is very small and isolated. The base has both 110v and 220v. The mobile PX (Post Exchange) comes once a month and they have very few items. Rarely they have Doritos chips, beef jerkey, and DVDs. I don't have a credit card, so I can't order movies through www.amazon.com . My guys would love to have these three things that our PX does not bring to us. Thanks.

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Soldier!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
