04 Nov 2004:
I am back from leave now and I regret to inform you that I have to withdraw from the Any Soldier program. My unit is giving me extra duties on top of what I am currently doing so I will not be able to continue with the program. I do know a Major who is looking for donations for the women in the Iraqi army. I will give her your information so she can contact you and fill you in with all of the details.

I will continue to spread the word of the Any Soldier program and do my best with anything else you may need help with.

Thank you for giving me the privilage to helping so many soldiers. It truly put many smiles on my face. I will still send you a CD or so of pictures once i get my equipment fixed and the rest in. (Unfortunately that may be after I have redeployed, but I will get it to you.)

God Bless You!

Sincerely,
Eva

i've been receiving tons of toys. it is wonderful! i can only imagine how excited those children will be. many of them have never had a toy before. i've received a few articles of clothes and shoes too. they are very welcome. there is a lady here that is helping out with a clothing drive for the iraqi nationals so clothes of any size are welcomed too.

i have received a box with crayons in it recently and it is not cool enough to send crayons without them melting.

i want to THANK YOU all so much for all that you are doing!

sincerely,
eva k peters

yes it has been a while and things have become very hectic.

would i be able to redo my list of requests so the list could be much shorter and not a novel for the supporters to have to read? if so, i'll get back to you with a condensed list of requests i have.

for now, i'm working on a toy mission to sadr city. sadr city is one of the poorest cities in iraq. this project is becoing quite big since the commanding general is getting involved with it as well. i guess that brings me to by biggest request.

TOYS, TOYS, AND LOTS OF TOYS. it does not matter if they have been used. these children are very deprived and are more than greatful for anything they receive. i have sent all of the entertainment items of such sort to the children already and have my sister sending me toys as well. i already have a digital camera so i can take pictures of all of the joy that america is bringing to their troops and these children. unfortunately, our internet is having sincere problems and isn't sending many of the emails that have been "sent." i have linked up with my automations section so i can burn some discs with pictures and send them by mail. i hope that will work and be ok with you.

i don't seem to get much time on a computer so i will start writing paper mail to update you in the times when i cannot have access to the internet.

thank you for the heads up.

p.s. i have about 7 chaplain contacts and about 8 other contacts of people to whom i am able to send special requested items to for distribution to the requestor. most of the other items that come in in abondance, i have been putting on convoys to different bases that i do not have pocs for.

God bless,

eva

ANY TIME MORE THAN REQUESTED IS RECEIVED, IT WILL GO TO CAMP EAGLE. i have recently made contact with representatives from camp eagle. the residents of camp eagle are living in near caveman conditions. i wanted to write of a 3 new requests.

i've been receiving great things. i have recently made a point of contact from the 1st bct who will send me the names and requests so i can submit them and give them to the according soldier. 1bct is made up of 6 brigates... about 3200 soldiers. i also have a poc there who sees children quite often. this will be excellent since he loves to give them candy, toys, stickers, and such. i'll ask him if he will take pictures so i can post them.

unfortunately i have not heard back from the chaplains, but do have a signal officer covering down for the time being.

Camp Eagle does not currently have phones or any px/shopete available to them. All electricity available here runs at 220v. As for a wish list, a few things requested are:

Cocoa powder, right guard spray deodorant, ramen noodles in the plastic packages, 1 pr weight lifting gloves size L, outdoor scented candles, citronella candles, snack foods like crunchy bread snack mixes, poptarts, granola bars, mainly healthy foods with some junk food, some toilet paper, body wash (hygiene products), small entertainment items such as stickers and letter decal items. I have used stickers on letters i send home and have had many people ask for some. I am now out and cannot purchase any over here. I have asked my sister to send me some more, but i'm afraid they will run out faster than i can get them if i have only one source. Other small entertainment items would be things like colored pens, small toys that come a dime a dozen and so on. I know these are little things, but sometimes the little things make a big difference. I have shared what i have of those items and I enjoy seeing the smiles they bring to the faces of many.

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Soldier!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
