New mothers attend to their newborn infants in the Maternity Ward at the Hawija Hospital. There are no separate facilities for a newborn nursery and there are no monitors or special equipment in the ward.
	A newborn pre-mature infant receives care in an incubator in the Hawija Hospital. The Hospital's Pediatrician states that there are numerous pre-mature births each month. However, with only 1 incubator available, many infants go untreated and eventually die. Many new parents take their newborn pre-mature infant home and hope that they continue to survive.
